Many people struggle to keep their weight stable as they get older. Researchers at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and the University of Lyon in Villeurbanne, France, is now saying that this is because lipid turnover in fat tissue decreases as we age and makes it easier to gain weight – even if we don’t eat more or exercise less than before. The study is published Nature Medicine.
