Inserm and Université de Rennes 1 develop new antibiotics

Researchers at the Bacterial Regulatory RNAs and Medicine joint laboratory together with a team from the Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences (ISCR) have created two new antibiotics that are effective against both Gram-positive and negative multi-resistant bacteria. The antibiotics appear not to trigger resistance when used to treat infection in mice either. The research is reported in Plos Biology.
