An international team of researchers led by Toby Lawrence of Inserm (Centre d’immunology de Marseille – Luminy (Inserm / CNRS / Aix-Marseille Université) may have discovered a treatment to reduce tumour size where previous drugs have failed. The discovery, which is reported in the Journal of Experimental Medicine, could lead to the development of a drug that would specifically kill tumor-associated macrophages.
